Set of transmission lines and electrical substations built to increase the capacity, quality, and reliability of the power transmission system and to meet the growing demand of industry, commerce, and the population in the northern and center region of the country with sufficient quantity and quality.

It has a reactive power compensation system with a capacity of 150 MVAr (inductive) and 300 MVAr (capacitive).
The project comprises three interconnectors:

500 kV La Niña–Piura interconnector, substations, power lines and associated extensions. (E-1). (Normal operating capacity 1,400 MVA). (87 km)
·
220 kV Pariñas–Nueva Tumbes transmission line, substations and associated extensions. (E-2) (Normal operation 250 MVA) (158 km)
·
220 kV Tingo María–Aguaytía transmission line, substations, power lines and associated extensions. (E-3) (Normal operation 250 MVA) (73 km)
