The Rejas Water Reclamation Plant is designed to treat 72,000 m³ of wastewater per day, strengthening Madrid’s wastewater treatment capacity through infrastructure developed to meet increasingly demanding environmental standards.

The project involves the construction of a new facility within the existing site, delivered in phases to ensure uninterrupted operation of the treatment plant throughout the works.





The upgraded plant incorporates a complete water and sludge treatment process, including advanced biological treatment, anaerobic digestion and energy recovery through biogas. The scheme also includes new industrial buildings, electrical infrastructure, utility networks and environmental improvements across the site.
