The Shanganagh Wastewater Treatment Plant, located within the Dublin metropolitan area, serves the equivalent of 180,000 people and was developed in a sensitive coastal environment.
The project involved the expansion and refurbishment of an existing facility while maintaining continuous plant operations, together with new pumping infrastructure and submarine outfalls.
The scheme also included a 20-year operation period and the implementation of a complete sludge treatment line incorporating anaerobic digestion, thermal drying and energy generation through biogas
