The project comprises the comprehensive The HS2 Phase 1 – Euston Station (Stations South) project involves the comprehensive expansion and redevelopment of London Euston station to accommodate the future HS2 high-speed rail network, one of the United Kingdom’s largest transport infrastructure programmes.
The scheme includes the construction of new high-speed platforms, associated railway infrastructure and passenger facilities, adapting the station to support future long-distance rail services while increasing capacity and connectivity within the national rail network.
A key challenge of the project is the delivery of the works while maintaining station operations throughout construction, requiring a phased approach and complex logistics to ensure the continued functioning of one of London's busiest transport hubs.
The development incorporates new MEPH systems, connections with the network and provisions for future integration with projects such as Crossrail 2. The project also includes the complete reconfiguration of the intermodal interchange, improving connections between rail, underground services, buses, taxis, cycle routes and pedestrian access.
