The Port of Valencia Expansion included the construction of a new breakwater system extending more than 3.3 km, designed to increase port capacity and support future logistics and maritime operations.

The project involved the construction of a main breakwater combining different structural solutions, including rubble mound sections protected with large concrete armour units and vertical sections built using prefabricated caissons. This approach enabled the infrastructure to respond to the varying operational and marine conditions along the alignment.

The development also incorporated a 1.1 km lee breakwater, reclaimed port land and a new berthing line integrated into the vertical breakwater section, creating additional operational capacity for future port activities.
