The Fredericton–Moncton Highway delivered more than 200 km of high-capacity road infrastructure, becoming one of the most significant transport projects undertaken in New Brunswick.
Developed under a Public-Private Partnership (P3) model, the scheme included the construction of 195 km of four-lane motorway along Route 2, together with a further 12 km of connecting highway infrastructure linking Routes 1, 7 and 8.
The project incorporated a substantial number of interchanges, bridges and water crossings, including the landmark crossings over the Saint John River and Jemseg River, each measuring approximately one kilometre in length.
The development reinforced Dragados’ expertise in long-distance motorway corridors delivered through concession-based procurement models in North America.
