The A-1 Pyrzowice–Maciejów motorway forms part of the strategic corridor connecting northern and southern Poland, linking the border with the Czech Republic and the port of Gdańsk via one of the country's main transport infrastructures.

The completed section includes the construction of 20 km of dual carriageway, alternating between 2 and 3 lanes in each direction with a design speed of 100 km/h, as well as service roads, rest areas, toll plazas, and other auxiliary infrastructure associated with the corridor.

DRAGADOS constructed 31 structures, most notably the 185-meter-long viaduct over the WA-436, railway crossings, long wildlife crossings to ensure the connectivity of local fauna, and five retention ponds with pumping systems that will also collect water from the motorway's drainage system.
