The R 2, R 3 and R 5 motorway programme delivered more than 145 km of new road infrastructure, improving access to Madrid and increasing capacity across the metropolitan road network.

The works included new toll motorways, sections of the M 50 ring road, major interchanges, viaducts, service areas and supporting infrastructure designed to enhance mobility along the capital’s main transport corridors.
