The Improvements to the Miami Airport Terminal project was carried out for Miami Dade County.
The works comprised the general construction and refurbishment of the existing airport terminal building, structured into two independent work packages.

Package 1 included refurbishment works in areas B to C of the terminal, involving the removal of existing escalators and elevators, the execution of structural slabs to close existing openings, selective demolition of interior finishes, and the relocation of mechanical, electrical, fire protection and plumbing systems. The interventions were carried out on levels 1, 2, and 3 of the building.

Package 2 covered works in areas A to D of the terminal, including the installation of new escalators and elevators, construction of curtain walls, storefront façades and automatic access doors, as well as foundations and load-bearing structural elements. It also involved the replacement of interior finishes, execution of external enclosures, signage and graphics, and the installation and upgrading of life safety systems, smoke control, fire detection and alarm systems, and emergency power. This package mainly affected levels 1, 2, 3, and 4.

Both packages were executed in phases, allowing certain areas of the terminal to remain operational while others were under construction. Each phase required formal completion and acceptance prior to the commencement of the next one.
