The Lima Metro – Lines 2 and 4 is the largest underground transport infrastructure programme developed in Peru, incorporating more than 33 km of tunnels, stations, ventilation shafts and railway facilities within a high-capacity metropolitan network.
The project is being developed under a 35-year concession model, covering the financing, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of Line 2 and a branch of Line 4 connecting to Jorge Chávez International Airport.










The Line 4 branch extends from Gambetta Station to Carmen de la Legua Station, comprising 7.66 km of tunnel, 8 stations—including one interchange—, a depot and maintenance facility in Bocanegra, and 8 ventilation and emergency shafts.
Tunnel excavation is being carried out using two tunnel boring machines, one EPB TBM and one Variable Density TBM, complemented by an 8 km section excavated using conventional methods, allowing construction techniques to be adapted to the specific geotechnical conditions along the alignment.
