The Muelle Cataluña in the Port of Barcelona is a vessel repair and maintenance platform supported by a grid of 411 piles with diameters ranging from 1,500 to 1,800 mm.
A reinforced concrete structural slab between 3.28 and 4.59 ft thick, with a total area of approximately 259,000 ft², supports the track system and concrete pavement required for Syncrolift operations.

The Syncrolift incorporates a steel lifting platform measuring 264.3 ft in length and 66.6 ft in width, designed to withstand hoisting, lowering and manoeuvring loads from vessels during servicing.

The works executed by DRAGADOS included the creation of a sealed cofferdam using sheet piles up to 75.5 ft deep, providing a confined enclosure with a storage capacity of approximately 2.62 million ft³ for contaminated dredged materials.

The project also includes underwater cutting, dredging, pile driving, structural works, service networks and the installation of an extensive rail track system exceeding 46,700 ft for the movement of vessel support cradles.
