L’Albagés Dam is located in the province of Lleida, on the Set River, and forms part of the Segarra-Garrigues Canal system, designed to provide irrigation to the regions of Noguera, Segarra, Urgell, Garrigues and Segrià. Positioned at the end of the canal, it regulates flows from the Rialb Reservoir.

The structure is an embankment dam with an impermeable clay core and rockfill shoulders, constructed using materials sourced from the reservoir basin.
The dam has a straight axis, with a maximum height of 85 m and a crest length of 737 m. It provides a reservoir capacity of 80 hm³ and a total embankment volume of 5,700,000 m³.

The project executed by DRAGADOS also includes a free-flow spillway and a river diversion tunnel, later adapted to house the bottom outlets and irrigation intakes.
